Florida massage license checks cover the therapist and the establishment
Florida massage license checks can involve the therapist, the establishment, and the name shown in the health license search.
A massage booking can come through a spa, hotel, clinic, resort, gym, mobile service, or small studio.
Start with the therapist. Florida’s health license search should show an active massage license under the person’s legal license name. The same record shows any public action against that license.
A fixed massage business will usually have a second record for the place. That license belongs to one address. A business with two sites needs one for each site. Search the business name and address on their own; the therapist’s license does not cover the room.
Mobile work has a narrow exception. A licensed therapist may give a massage at a client’s home or office. The same exception can cover a sports event, convention, or trade show. It does not cover colonic irrigation. Because of that rule, no business-site result is a reason to ask more questions, not proof of unlicensed work.
Before booking, ask for the license name of the therapist and any fixed business site. Match the status and address. Keep the receipt and visit details when the massage is tied to health care, an injury, a gift card, or a work benefit.
