Miami Beach parking discounts and zone permits are separate
Miami Beach has a general resident parking program and an address-based residential zone permit. A resident can qualify for one without having the other.
That distinction matters before you gather the application papers.
Only residents who live in a marked parking zone can apply for that zone’s permit. Miami Beach currently asks for vehicle registration and proof that the person lives at the zone address. An approved zone permit also enrolls the resident in the broader parking program.
A Miami Beach resident without a zone permit can still apply for the general program and its discounts. That registration does not create a zone permit. Two residents can therefore have the same city address on their ID but different parking options because only one lives inside a marked zone.
Start with the zone map. Then read the live paper list before applying. Keep the plate and address details current. Neither program replaces posted signs or the rules for the space where the car will sit.
Rates, benefits, application systems, and zone lines can change. Use the current city pages instead of an old screenshot or a price saved by a former resident.
