Palm Beach County evacuation zones start with the address
Palm Beach County storm planning works best when the evacuation zone, flood map, and shelter plan are checked separately.
Palm Beach County’s address tool shows whether a home is in an evacuation zone. It does not show the FEMA flood zone, an open shelter, or a live order. Those are separate checks.
The difference matters in a county that reaches from barrier islands to farm country. A coastal condo and an inland apartment may not get the same order. Mobile and manufactured homes also need special care in the storm plan. Follow the current county notice instead of letting the zone map answer every question.
Look up the exact address before a storm is close. Write down the zone, the route out, and any help the household may need. Add the pet plan and a place to stay. If someone needs medical gear or help with travel, plan that part early too. When a storm is near, check the county’s live hurricane page for orders and open shelters. An old screenshot can help you remember the zone, but it cannot show what is open today.
