Cooper City hazardous waste has its own drop-off route

Cooper City has a separate route for household hazardous waste. Residents cannot use Broward County disposal sites for this errand. The city instead offers a monthly drop-off through its partner in Davie, where staff ask for proof that you live in Cooper City.

A county site may seem like the natural choice, so this local detail matters. Before loading the car, check the current Cooper City page for the next date, hours, location, and item list. If an item is not on the list, ask where it belongs before putting it with regular trash.

Regular waste follows different paths. Coastal Waste and Recycling handles normal garbage and recycling, while Eastern Waste Systems handles bulk pickup. The solid-waste directory sends each problem to the right hauler. A missed cart, a bulk pile, and hazardous material do not begin with the same company.

Before leaving, confirm that the item is accepted and bring proof of residency. Dates, hours, haulers, and accepted materials can change, so use the current page to settle the trip.
